OASIS OF POSSIBILITIES

Documentary

Year: 2024
Role: Cinematography / Editor

Description

Once upon a time in Quebec (Canada), a small community dreamed of food autonomy. In the 1970s, Pierre and Monique settled in Wotton to build this once-revolutionary dream.

Fifty years later, reality has proven them right: rural areas are searching for renewed vitality, and agriculture—especially small-scale projects like the Vert la Vie cooperative, founded by Kim Gregoire and Evelyne Fresheat and welcomed by Pierre—offers hope. However, Quebec’s land use laws hinder the emergence of such initiatives and present many obstacles for Pierre, Monique, Vert la Vie, and the whole Wotton community.
